Advance into the Amu Darya! Jichai Compressors Enter the Central Asian Market to Support Natural Gas Supply

On the afternoon of October 17th, news came from the project site in Turkmenistan that all four 4MW sulfur-resistant compressor units of the company, which are applied in the pressure boosting project of the central gas field in Area B of the Amu Darya, have achieved a stable operation time of over 72 hours, with a total gas processing volume exceeding 86 million cubic meters.

The first phase of the boosting project was successfully put into operation on the 9th.These four compressor units applied in the project are high-end equipment independently developed by the company for PetroChina. Relying on reliable quality and high-quality services, they have outperformed European and American products that have dominated the market for a long time, realizing the first application of PetroChina's large-scale reciprocating compressor equipment in Central Asia and providing strong equipment support for China's natural gas supply.

The project is located in Block B of the Bagtyyarlyk Contract Area, Lebap Province, Turkmenistan. As a key project for stabilizing and increasing production at the core gas source of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline, it has a daily natural gas pressure boosting capacity of 10.52 million cubic meters. After the commissioning of the first phase, the daily output of the associated gas fields in the central part of Block B will increase by 900,000 cubic meters.

The DTY4000 series compressor units of the company, which were put into use at the site this time, will be deployed in two stages of the project, with a total of 8 units. After the overall project is completed, the annual boosting capacity  can reach 3.5 billion cubic meters.

In order to ensure the quality of products and services, Chengdu Compressor Branch has dedicated itself to R&D and installation/commissioning breakthroughs, successfully overcoming a series of key technical bottlenecks such as complex working condition adaptation of large compressors, remote control and coordinated operation, and integration of cluster gathering/transportation and pressurization systems for scattered gas fields. These achievements have laid a solid equipment foundation for the project's stable and timely commissioning.

At the same time, the Chengdu Compressor Branch fully combines the actual needs of intelligent and green operation of the project, innovatively deploys a compressor health monitoring and intelligent warning platform, and replaces traditional gas driven compressors with electric drive products, promoting active operation and carbon reduction, and helping the gas field to stabilize and increase production.
